My love affair with art began with drawing people in bars and coffee shops. I was hooked immediately, and studied at the Art Students League of Denver. I've been lucky to learn to draw and paint in Denver, where I've had the opportunity to study with artists like Daniel Sprick, Quang Ho, Doug Dawson, and Mark Daily.
These days, I mainly paint in oils - I love the pure sensory experience of playing with paint - but I also sometimes work in watercolor, acrylic, and pastel. I also dabble in sculpture, and lately have been having a blast playing with pottery.
I enjoy sharing my love for painting by teaching classes at the Art Students League of Denver, as well as displaying work in galleries both locally and nationally.
My paintings have been featured in such varied settings as The Wynkoop Restaurant, Gallery Stain, Pirate Contemporary Art, Artists on Santa Fe, Terra Firma, Zip 37, Rich Designs in Colorado Springs, and Red Rocks Community College. Currently I have work on display at McCall Fine Art on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, NM. In Florida, my work showed at the L2 Gallery. I've also been featured at the Fine Arts Gallery at St. John’s College in Santa Fe and the Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos New Mexico. My work is regularly on display at Abend and Art Images in Denver, Colorado.
